The figure above shows the Reach Comprehensive solution for multimedia instruction. Various encoders are combined in multiple multimedia classrooms collect the video and audio signals and electronic courseware signals in the instruction field, and send the signals collected to the Multimedia Recording & Casting Server group (including multiple Multimedia Recording & Casting Servers) via the IP network. The Multimedia Recording & Casting Servers can perform synchronously integrated recording and live broadcast on the received signals, and upload the recorded contents to the general multimedia recording and casting management platform (DSS-R-TMS). The Client accesses the DSS-R-TMS via the IE browser to obtain the resource list, receive real-time instructional programs that are lively broadcasted or play instructional programs on demand. The administrator accesses the DSS-R-TMS via the IE browser to schedule and manage the hardware resources in the Multimedia Recording & Casting System. For example, the administrator controls a Multimedia Recording & Casting Server to record or lively broadcast in one or more classrooms.
In a multimedia classroom, users may deploy related encoders and combination of encoders according to the types of signals. If the general recording mode of one video signal plus one VGA signal is adopted, a AV Encoder and a VGA Encoder may be deployed. The Multimedia Recording & Casting System can maximally support combination of six audio and video signals and VGA signals, thus meeting the recording requirements in various instructions and conferences including surgery demonstration. Users may select the related combination of encoders according to the actual requirements.
The Multimedia Recording & Casting Server is generally installed in the equipment room. A Multimedia Recording & Casting Server may concurrently support instructions in one or more multimedia classrooms. The administrator may uniformly schedule and manage the recording and casting hardware resources by using the general multimedia recording and casting management platform, thus meeting the recording requirements of instructions in any classroom on the campus network.

Multimedia Recording & Streaming System adopts the distributed architecture and includes Multimedia Recording & Streaming Server and encoders. The figure above shows the typical networking mode in the videoconference system. The encoders, located in the front end of the system, are connected to the videoconference terminal. The encoders are responsible for collecting video and audio and VGA (double current) signals in the videoconference system. The encoders encode the collected signals and send the encoded signals to the Multimedia Recording & Streaming Server in the background via the IP network. The Multimedia Recording & Streaming Server can perform synchronously integrated recording, live broadcast and play on demand on the received video and audio signals and VGA signals.
The encoders may be categorized into the following two types according to the types of signals that the encoders can process:
(1) Video and audio signal encoder series: including AV Encoder and High-definition Encoder;
(2)VGA signal encoder series: including VGA Encoder and High-definition Encoder;
The High-definition Encoder may be used for encoding video and audio signals or VGA signals. Users may select the combination of encoders according to the type of videoconference system. For example, for the recording of a common videoconference system, user may select AV Encoder + VGA Encoder; for the recording of high definition videoconference system, users may select High-definition Encoder + VGA Encoder.

As showed in the above picture, AV Encoder or the HD Encoder capture the signal from the camera and the VGA Encoder get the signal from the computer screen of the X-Ray pictures, through a private IP network, AV Encoder or the HD Encoder and VGA Encoder send all these signals to the background server.
REACH multimedia recording and streaming server will do the processing of these signals automatically. The live streaming function can live streaming the operating situation, while at the same time, the recording function can record the operation completely. For the clients, they can use IE Browser to receive the live streaming to realize the Telemedicine purpose.
